Strangford Lough Legbiter

Strangford Lough Legbiter

Legbiter pours a slight hazy yet golden color with a hoppy flavor. The alcohol content is fairly low at 4.8%, which keeps this beer very drinkable, without killing your tastebuds with an overpowering amount of hops and fire. Strangford Lough Brewing Company have a fairly unique story to tell. SLBC brews their beers in Ireland then ships the wort (solid product or mash comprised of water, barley, malt, hops and extras) over to the United States and is bottled state side. They do this to both the Legbiter and St. Patricks Best Ale. This saves the consumer on the extra costs of some other true imported beers. Interesting, very interesting.
Strangford Lough St Patrick's Best Ale

Strangford Lough St Patrick's Best Ale

This is another import / domestic from the Strangford Lough Brewing Company (refer to Legbiter to read up). St. Patrick's pours a medium amber body, drier flavor than the legbiter and  a slight 4.2% abv. This beer will make a nice compliment to your St. Patrick's Day party beer lineup. Easy drinking, conversation piece that you can enjoy with friends and family..
Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale

Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale

Straight from Kona, Hawaii we are now offering Kona Brewing Company in two different styles. First up, Fire Rock Pale Ale, available in 6pk bottles this pale ale has 5.8%abv and uses three different types of hops. I have been waiting along time to get my hands on some of the Fire Rock, the flavor speaks for itself. Not over powering, yet inviting. So if you could not make it to the islands this spring, fear not, Austin's will help bring the islands to you.
Kona Longboard Lager

Kona Longboard Lager

Another beer straight from Hawaii, Kona's Longboard Lager is a slightly spicy, slight hop flavored, smooth lager. Kona ages the Longboard in cool temperatures for five weeks to help take the harshness away. Very drinkable.
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout

Goose Island Bourbon County Stout

We, at Austin's, have long awaited this beer to show up and it is finally in stock at both stores.  Available in both a 4 pack 12oz bottle or a 22oz bomber, this barrel aged imperial stout is rated as one of the best stouts in the country. With it's chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smokiness flavor this beer would accompany a wide range of cigars.  For more information on what type of cigar would accompany this beer, check out http://www.victorycigarbar.com or stop into Victory Bar and Cigar located at 56 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester.

Goose Island Honkers Ale

Goose Island Honkers Ale

From Chicago, Goose Island has been a major player in the midwest for years and they have finally made their way to the east coast.  Honker's Ale is Goose Island's flagship. Be on the lookout at Brew City and other local bars and pubs for their tap handles. They are typically in the shape of a goose.
Goose Island Matilda

Goose Island Matilda

Matilda is like a Belgium Abbey ale. Matilda offers a spicy flavor from the yeast yet a fruity floral aroma. At 7% abv (alcohol by volume) and is available in both a 22oz bomber or 12oz 4 - pack bottles, Matilda is a nice addition to your everyday favorites.
Goose Island Pere Jacques

Goose Island Pere Jacques

Yet another addition to the Austin family of beers is Pere Jacques from the Goose Island high end line up. Pere Jacques is compared to a belgium dubble. At 8% abv, slightly higher than Matilda, this is a darker maltier beer than Matilda is. Pere Jacques is available in both a 22oz bomber and 12oz 4 - pack bottles.

Goose Island Sofie

Goose Island Sofie

Lastly, Sofie is the third belgian style beer released from Goose Island's high end line up. Sofie is their rendition of a belgian white. This is a slightly spicy white more like an Allagash White than a Blue Moon. Sofie is only available in a 22oz bomber. You can find Goose Island Sophie at both Austin Worcester and Shrewsbury stores.
