| Gold Star Boulevard store opened in 1975 and we’ve been growing ever since - expanding the store, launching our Austin brand of liquors, hiring great people, some of whom have been with us their entire careers. Our Friday wine tastings were really popular with customers, so we added beer tastings for our brew aficionados. When the Gold Star store reached its expansion limit, we searched for a second site and Shrewsbury’s White City Shopping Center was the perfect fit. The huge floor space allowed us to expand our selections, and it meant we could build the region’s largest walk-in cooler and fill it with beers and wines from around the world. Our goal has always been and continues to be Worcester's best wine and liquor store. We won our first Worcester Magazine "Best of Worcester" award in 2000 and have never missed a year. In fact our Shrewsbury Store received the "Best Liquor Store" award in 2004 and again in the most recent 2005 readership poll! Stop in and discover the reason for yourself.
